Norris Tops Oscar Piastri in Brazilian Practice
The British driver has beaten his teammate at each of the previous five grands prix.
Lando Norris just pipped team-mate and championship contender Oscar Piastri for the quickest lap in the closing stages of practice at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The British racer, who seized the title advantage from his teammate by a single point after winning in the Mexican Grand Prix recently, beat the Melbourne-born driver by 0.023 seconds.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair throughout the hour before sprint qualifying set to begin at 6:30 PM GMT.
The Red Bull star, the only other driver in the points battle, sitting 36 points behind behind Norris, finished in 17th place as his team followed a alternative strategy.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the only driver to crash, albeit lightly, when he lost control at Turn Four early in the session.
Tsunoda lost control over the track edges before sliding over the gravel trap, and was fortunate to get away with just a minor contact of the fence.

Hamilton finished practice in 19th, trailing teammate the Monegasque driver.
The McLaren drivers were well clear of the remaining drivers, with the German's Sauber in third, 0.619secs slower than the Australian's time.
The Aston Martin of the Spanish driver was in fourth, with Sauber's Bortoleto ahead of Mercedes' Russell and the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and the Williams of Carlos Sainz.
